If I was a nut, I would be a cashew; I would collaborate with chocolate in a ratio of 1:2. But, instead I am a maker of art, analyst of the big picture, and compulsive inventor of stories. In a nutshell, my work is a never-ending tale of drawing and painting with ever-evolving background narratives, because that's what sets my mind alight. Visual storytelling is the hub from which I create. I am particularly interested in book illustration for children and adults. I reside by the ocean in Newport Beach, California with my husband and son.
A few of my favorite things:
· the word “Entelechy: that which realizes or makes actual what is otherwise merely potential" (Encyclopaedia Britannica)
· home, long walks on the beach, beautiful books, imagination, London, mango lassis, dollhouses, stores that stock ribbons, libraries, rain, hunting for sea-pottery, soup …
"And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”
― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
